Education is Not Medical Advice

While Formula Sense will help parents and caregivers make sense of infant formulas, it is not a substitute for medical advice. This website is for education only.  No online resource replaces in in-person examination by a trained pediatric health provider (MD, DO, PNP or PA).

Contact your health provider right away if your baby has vomiting, diarrhea, blood in the stool. Listlessness or a lack of any activity can be a sign of a serious problem. If you cannot reach your health provider, go to the emergency department.

Always tell your health provider about choking, gagging or coughing with bottle feeding. These signs may need to be assessed by a Feeding Therapist.

Keep in mind that feeding intolerance has many causes and changing formula may not resolve the root issue.

If your instincts tell you that something is not right with your baby, trust them. Contact your health provider right away.
